Mike and I will be
traveled to Cambodia in June of 2002. The majority of the
rigs there were used by international aid organizations working
mainly on removing the incredible amount of land mines and
unexploded ordinances throughout the country. There were
some from the European Union (EU),
the United Nations (UN) and from
Doctors Without Borders.
Cambodia is
recovering from many generations of continual warfare.
Starting with the spread of Western Imperialism, wars with
countries like the United States, Vietnam, Thailand, as well as
horrific civil war, Cambodia is only now returning to a somewhat
typical third world existence. For more info, check out
